Urban Partners has been retained by the Harrisburg Redevelopment Authority (HRA) as part of a team led by Stromberg/Garrigan & Associates (SGA) through a U.S. EPA Brownfields Assessment Grant. The team will complete community outreach/public education activities, help prioritize sites, conduct hazardous waste Phase I and Phase II environmental site assessments, and develop remedial and reuse plans for key targeted sites along Cameron Street and S. 17th Street in Harrisburg. This assessment grant leverages and builds upon a previously-awarded U.S. EPA Area-Wide Planning grant project, which SGA helped HRA successfully complete for the community. Urban Partners' role is to conduct a real estate market analysis for the Cameron Street area to identify new uses that will help create a more vibrant urban corridor. We will also examine the feasibility of reusing a historic former Coca Cola bottling factory for food-related uses to serve the South Allison Hill neighborhood, including a food incubator, farmers' market, and restaurant.
